US clocks go back 1 Nov 2026: data 1 hour later in IST
क्या हुआ
US daylight saving time (DST) ends today, Sunday 1 Nov 2026: clocks in New York go back one hour at 2:00 AM, which is 11:30 AM IST today. India does not change its clocks, so every fixed US time now falls one hour later in IST. The UK and Europe already made the same change on 25 Oct.
Examples this week (TradingView economic calendar, in IST):
• Monday 2 Nov: US ISM Manufacturing PMI at 8:30 PM (it came at 7:30 PM during DST)
• Friday 6 Nov: US NFP at 7:00 PM (6:00 PM until last month)
• Thursday 5 Nov: BoE (UK) rate decision at 5:30 PM
• US data released at 8:30 AM New York time now comes at 7:00 PM IST, and 10:00 AM data at 8:30 PM IST
• The forex week's close (5 PM New York) is now around 3:30 AM IST on Saturday, earlier around 2:30 AM
इसका मतलब
Daylight saving time = moving clocks one hour ahead in summer and back again in winter. In the US it ends on the first Sunday of November and starts again in March.
Lesson: if you set a phone alarm or reminder in IST for US news, move it one hour later from today; NFP now comes at 7 PM IST. The London and New York sessions will also open one hour later in IST. On FxGram's Calendar page every event time is shown in IST automatically. This is for understanding, not buy/sell advice.
